Equine Advocates is pleased to share the presentations from the 2015 American Equine Summit held on May 16th and May 17th at the Humane Education Center on the sanctuary grounds. The Summit was hosted and organized by Susan Wagner, President & Founder of Equine Advocates.

Speaking at the conference was CHDC’s Director of Administration and Research, Loni Stewart.  Loni,  who has a special affinity for Belgian horses in particular,  has been a CHDC director since 2008 and works consistently on horse advocacy issues.  Loni’s speech,  prepared especially for the Summit on the Canadian horse slaughter industry, is presented below:

Video #6:  Victoria Racimo, Filmmaker and President of Palomino Entertainment.  Victoria previewed her new documentary film “One Day” about the rescue of 1977 Champion Race Mare, Our Mims, and the woman, Jeanne Mirabito, who saved her.  This film was edited by TanNa Young who is also the Coordinating Producer of the CBS Series, “The Good Wife.”

Video #7:  Carol Walker, Director of Field Documentation for the Wild Horse Freedom Federation.  Ms. Walker’s talk is titled “The Fight to Save Wyoming’s Wild Horses.”
