“Tea In The Forest With Horses” Fundraiser A Success For CHDC

SONY DSC

CHDC Supporter Patricia Thomson’s charitable event in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia was a success, raising a total of $212.91 for horses.  That’s a lot of tea!

Patti reports that the event was a blast to organize and the horses behaved themselves perfectly.  Once again she issues a challenge to other horse advocates to hold similar events with horses to raise awareness and promote horse welfare.

Thank you Patti!

I just saw a post from Americans Against Horse Slaughter asking for a $1.00 a month donation from everyone ‎linked in to the site to help the horse rescues. It isn’t a lot but would be if everyone gives the 12.00 a month. Mindy Lovell from Transition TB does something similar with 5.00 Fridays. Could this be something that CHDC could do as well. Set up a fund and distribute the monies to rescues in time of need? Not sure how many members the CHDC has. Maybe call it the Marie Dean fund.Just a thought Mary – JoeSent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone on the Bell network. That looks like so much fun and relaxing with the horses in the forest. I hope they do that in the GTA. I would go.

  4. So happy your event was a good and positive time and you raised some money for them. Great job.
