Discussions With Penticton Indian Band Ongoing To Reduce Horses Wandering In City

PIB horseHorse advocate and rescuer Theresa Nolet continues to battle for protection of the Penticton Indian Band horses in B.C.’s Okanagan Valley.  Ms. Nolet has repeatedly offered to fundraise for the contraceptive vaccine PZP which some members of the PIB were trained in using in 2009.   In 2014,  Nolet spoke with members of the PIB and offered to help raise funds for a pilot project using PZP on Dolly Kruger’s herd but her offer was rejected.

Her letter to the editor of the Penticton Herald newspaper is posted here and a response from Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen representative Michael Brydon can be accessed here.
