Reminder: Upcoming event in the Toronto area for horse lovers March 29, 2015

highres_434041831For anyone who loves horses and who wants to share their love by encouraging open, respectful and non-confrontational discussion about preventing horse slaughter in Canada.  Learning to talk respectfully about this divisive subject is a key goal to finding solutions within the industry.  If we can’t even talk about it, how will it ever change?

If you want to do something – anything – about the issue of horse slaughter in Canada you have come to the right place. We know it’s not a fun topic but we can have lots of fun taking small, positive steps in the right direction.

Find out more, meet others who feel the same way, and feel good about being part of an exciting move toward a solution!

  1. This Meetup will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 29th at the RCRA, east of Newmarket on Davis Drive. It will be upstairs where the Equus restaurant, and viewing lounge are located.

  2. Want to attend. Prefer Newmarket

    1. That’s great Nancy – looking forward to seeing you! If you haven’t already done so, please go to the meetup website – http://www.meetup.com/Horse-People-for-Horses-in-GTA/ to rsvp. Many thanks!

Would you consider holding a discussion near Ottawa in the near future? I would very much like to attend, as would a friend and likely, quite a few others in this area.

    1. What a great idea, Rysha. If you join the meetup group for GTA we could probably also start a meetup group for the greater Ottawa area. It would need an organizer and then more discussion to arrange a possible speaker. Keep in touch!

  4. I know this is a Canadian event, but we all also care here at Live and Let Live Farm Rescue in NH, USA, over the US boarder and if you ever need a host, place to meet up, have an event/clinic you wish to do etc. over the boarder into the US. We are here for a place to come. http://www.liveandletlivefarm.org Bless you all for your great work. Teresa Paradis, Executive Director Bless you all on behalf of all our precious, voiceless horses and other animals.
