New CHDC video

This video is being released this Christmas to remember the betrayed ones.  The previously unreleased footage was taken just prior to Christmas 2010.  In stark contrast to what should be a time of peace and goodwill, these horses’ final days of betrayal are shown.

Please remember them and all of the other equidae who languish on feedlots all over Canada every day – those horses who did everything that was asked of them but it still wasn’t enough – those horses who were ultimately betrayed by those they trusted implicitly and those horses who did nothing wrong except to fall into the wrong hands.

  1. How and exactly When in God’s name did Canada sink so LOW…these poor horses…slaughtered for their meat….Most Canadians do not eat Horsemeat…the evil ones that support this disgusting show of betrayal to the horses are the ones that profit from this..I find kill-buyers that slither around at all the auctions lower than a snake on the ground and we, the taxpayers pay to subsidize this horrific industry…

  2. We need to vote people in that are against the horse slaughter and have them elected in to fight this. Wild Rose party was willing to help in Alberta but was not elected in.

There is another thing that these feed lots do is overfeed the horses so they will be as big and heavy as possible when they are slaughtered just like a feed lot to fatten up cattle. They keep feed in front of the horses all the time which leads to colic and other illnesses. Most of the feed lots I have seen in photos are just bare ground with no grazing at all and mud holes when it rains. At this point I don’t have any answers either as to how to get the bills passed that is sitting in the US congress gathering dust that will put a stop to this madness. We in the US have tried for years to stop the horse slaughtering but all of the organizations that have fought to stop this cruelty have been blocked by a US Senate that are paid off by special interests such as the racing industry, the quarter horse breeders etc. As I have said before there are enough cosponsors in the House of Representatives to pass H.R..1094 but you need just as many in the Senate cosponsoring to pass the bill S.541 along with H.R.1094. The senators have ignored S.541 because of payoffs.

Achwitz for horses. Contemptible. Reminds me of photos I saw in Europe of concentration camp prisoners. Malnourished, branded with crude tattoos, sick and suffering, unable to get up. We are treating these horses as badly as those people were treated during WWII. Anyone who can’t see the feelings in their eyes so similar to the feelings in the eyes of those humans is blind.

I see betryal in their eyes. The horses put their trusts’ into pleasing humans and this is what they get in return. It is disgusting.

Definitely betrayal. Their question, ” What did I do to deserve this?”

Both our governments are against their people and animals, protecting their blood thristy select few. They have to be stopped!
Please boycott the meat and dairy industries which support the horsemeat industry. They’re in bed together. They’re destroying our world and our minds. Please help stop them by going to a plant based diet, this will snowball into a force they can’t stop. We can prevail, never give up. For the horses!

  7. I’m at work so I have no sound playing from the video. I’ve begged thousands of times for my FB friends to help get the SAFE Act passed. If this powerful video doesn’t help cause action, I don’t know what will.
Horse slaughter must be ended! It’s good for no country, person or horse — except the few greed-driven people who profit from this predatory industry.

I cannot possibly watch! Why, why why is this happening??

    1. …because there are a few people and politicians who make money from it. Both our countries (Canada and America) lose, our horses lose, our horse owners lose; it’s nothing but a greed-driven, crime-infested, predatory industry,

It makes me sick that horses are disgarded like they are just garbage. Something has to be done to stop this treatment of our friends and partners “horses”.
