This isn’t the first time Irvine’s had a horse die.  Back in 2010 another of his horses died.  You can read about that incident here.  And again in 2012.  You can read about that one here.

When will this abuse end!! It needs to be shut down now…everyone who lives in the vicinity of the rodeo needs to get out and protest at the gates to end this show.

Off-track Thoroughbreds that ship to rodeo yahoos….. always suffer further insult to injury…
literally, until the end of their lives come.
I wonder if Irvine got this horse at 7yrs old ( was he lip tattooed?) .
Same old abuse…Call it SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT and almost anything $ goes.
    RIP… Hughey

I thought there were to be changes in the stampede but of course not. We as a family holidayed out west. We didn’t even think of going to the stampede because they continue to live in the ancient past. They lost money (a good amount) from this family that went elsewhere. See when those that insist to live in the past and continue to be cruel will do that loose money and that is all they care about.

  6. shut it down.

correction the steer did not break its neck, it had it ‘s neck broken by the cowboy, two totally different events. One is an accident one is a result of a dangerous activitiy.

Surprise, surprise! Every year animals suffer and die at the Calgary Stampede and every year the excuses are the same. These are brutal events – completely unacceptable! Shame on Calgary and shame on all those who condone these activities!

  9. Ho-hum, another day at the Stampede Rodeo Kill. The sport went out of their antics long ago and events like chuck wagon races are nothing less than tragic.
