A pair of tourists was injured after being thrown from a horse-drawn carriage in downtown Victoria Wednesday afternoon, when a tour bus apparently bumped the animal.

  1. Agree ban them from the cities unless they in a horse park only and only have to work four-six hours at a time.

  2. Thank goodness the horse is okay and I agree, ban these carriages. The City is no place for Carriages and these poor horses

When are our city counselors going to wake up and realize that forcing horses to pull carriages in city traffic is not only dangerous but terribly cruel for the horse. They have to breathe in exhaust fumes all day, stand and walk on hot pavement in the summer, usually with steel shoes, and freeze in the winter. I am sure that if you asked the people who live in the city whether they thought horse drawn carriages should be allowed, you would be surprised that the majority don’t want to see the abuse. However, the only way to stop this abuse is to do it with your vote the next time the elections come up.
