 The Cambridge Humane Society

Poochie Power Walk – Saturday, June 16th – Riverside Park Cambridge

The Cambridge Humane Society Poochie Power Walk is taking place again this June and you are invited to become part of one of their most successful events. Last year they were able to raise $17, 000 thanks to dedicated pledge walkers, vendors and friends. Their 2012 goal is to raise $20, 000 for the animals in their care.

The Canadian Horse Defence Coalition will be joining as a sponsor for this year’s event.   Sponsorship donated by Deborah Mariano.  Sponsorship is recognized as a caring community partner and a part of the solution to animal overpopulation and homelessness.

Saturday, June 16th begins with a 2km walk along the trails of Riverside Park, after which, everyone can enjoy a fun-filled day in the picnic area.  Activities include raffles, door prizes, a sponsor and vendor marketplace (CHDC WILL BE HERE), dog demonstrations, contests and games for pets and people, as well as an all day BBQ.

Come, join the fun and help create a stimulating and varied day as well as raise funds for animal care.

CHDC’s support, other vendor support, community participation and your attendance will help to raise much needed funds that will help directly improve the quality of life for homeless, abused and abandoned animals. Animal adoptions, veterinary care, medical supplies and responsible pet ownership education remains available in the community only because of the support.

Please help The Cambridge Humane Society make a difference in the lives of homeless animals
