unfortunately the only salvation for horses ,is to prohibit their transport to other countries for slaughter.Canada has a horrific record in animal welfare, contrary to a majority of Canadians, the C.S.P.C.A. and the veterinary community it continues to inhumanely kill horses and knowingly market unsafe meat. do not be surprised to see Canada put emphasis on export to china a country with a track record of unspeakable cruelty..I would not be a bit surprised to see this country attempt to enter an asian market with stray dogs and cats, AND I AM NOT KIDDING. Some times i am embarrased to be Canadian, and this is certainly one of them WE ARE BEING GOVERNEND BY A DICTATORSHIP, CLEAR AND SIMPLE.
