Truck with slaughter-bound horses crashes in Tennessee

In case you hadn’t heard about this one that happened on Monday evening:

Then this follow-up that states that the horses were re-loaded on their journey to a “ranch” in Texas.

A Tennessee tv station is following this story.  The horses were definetely headed to slaughter.  In the video you can see an auction tag on one of them.

  1. This is horrible! What can people do to stop this? People need clear links telling them where to go to complain on the social networking. If you can add these links I will post to my wordpress and facebook page. Again, thank you for the alert.

  2. But I’m sure the horses were VERY comfortable before they died:( Poor souls. The PRCA/AQHA are actively lobbying AGAINST banning the use of double-deckers for rodeo horses. How could anyone ever even WANT to load a horse in one of those. Jammed in like freakin’ sardines. So sad..
