Input Wanted by February 14th for Draft Code of Practice Document

NFACC-180x172

The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC), based out of Alberta, currently has the Draft – Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Equines posted for public comments.  The deadline for comments is February 14, 2013.   Both the Draft Code document and the survey are extensive, so be prepared to spend a good hour or more reading and completing it.  Individuals as well as groups are invited to complete the survey, and also people who may not be horse owners, but have an interest in good horse management practices.  Input is encouraged to ensure the Code reflects a common understanding of equine care expectations and recommended practices in Canada.
